Orondo Fire Department Bottle Opener

Orondo Fire Department Bottle Opener

Orondo Fire Department Bottle Opener

Orondo is an unincorporated community in Douglas County, Washington, United States, located alongside the eastern part of the Columbia River. According to U.S. Census, the population is estimated to be 1995 with a marginal error of 338 as of 2017. The town supports a U.S. Post Office, an elementary school, and many fruit stands along U.S. Highway 97.

Orondo Fire Department’s mission is to protect the lives and the property of the citizens and visitors in our district and community through emergency response, education, and prevention. The Orondo Fire Department responds to emergencies on the East Side of the Columbia River from Turtle Rock on the South end to the North of the Beebe Bridge.

We were tasked with producing a custom bottle opener for the Orondo Fire Department. They requested a bottle opener with a pretty simple concept design, but it had some details that needed to be done properly. The design was a rectangular-shaped bottle opener with curved corners, with their emblem on one side and the engraved Star Spangled Banner on the other.

Since a custom bottle opener is a functional memento, we had to make sure with our team of designers that the construction of the final product would let it do its job and be durable enough to endure the test of time. We also need to make sure that the engraving process won’t leave the base material too thin to be easily broken.

Maritime Weapons School Coin

Maritime Weapons School Coin

Maritime Weapons School Coin

United States Navy Maritime Weapons School is a training program that teaches maritime combat maneuvering tactics and techniques to selected naval officers, who return to their operating units as surrogate instructors. The unit’s purpose is to train navy crews at the graduate level in all aspects of weapons systems including tactics, techniques, procedures, and doctrine.

We were given an order from the US Navy to build a custom challenge coin for the USN Maritime Weapons School’s Lieutenant Commander (LCDR). LCDR is a senior officer rank in the United States Navy, the United States Coast Guard, the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Officer Corps (NOAA Corps).

They wanted a custom coin with a contemporary design that and also be used as a bottle opener. The basic concept for the design was pretty simple, which is to have one side colored in black, and the other side colored like the Star Spangled Banner. Other than those, the elements that were requested to be put on the coin were the insignia of the US Navy, the logo of the Maritime Weapons School, and the inscription of the LCDR’s name.

This unsophisticated design concept turned out to work very well for this coin. The well-machined letterings & graphics, and glossy colors we applied to the coin material, make this handsome coin shine.

Fire Station 43 Challenge Coin

Fire Station 43 Challenge Coin

Fire Station 43 Challenge Coin

A Fire Station, also called a Fireground, is the operational area at the scene of a fire, an area in which the incident commander is in control. Also used as the name of radio frequency to be used by units operating in the fireground, as in “Responding units switch to fireground.” Other terms for a fire station are Firehouse, Fire Hall, Firemen’s Hall, or Engine House.

A fire station is a structure or other area for storing firefighting apparatuses such as fire engines and related vehicles, personal protective equipment, fire hoses, and other specialized equipment. Fire stations frequently contain working and living space for the firefighters and support staff. A fire station will at a minimum have a garage for housing at least one fire engine. There will also be storage space for equipment, though the most important equipment is stored in the vehicle itself.

This one-of-a-kind custom challenge coin we made for a fire station was shaped like the outline of a pre-siren fire station’s bell. Other than being decorated with some graphic designs on both sides of the coin, it also functions as a bottle opener, which definitely will make this coin come in handy in a bar or at a party.

We at Embleholics will make sure that the bottle opener will work, thanks to our high-quality material, quality-check process, and state-of-the-art equipment we use to manufacture the coins.

ODA 3333 3rd (A) SFG Coin

ODA 3333 or Operational Detachment Alpha 333 is a part of the United States Army’s Third Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne). The 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) also called 3rd SFG(A) and often simply called 3rd Group, is an active duty United States Army Special Forces (SF) group that was active in the Vietnam Era (1963–69), deactivated, and then reactivated in 1990.

3rd Group, as it is sometimes called, is designed to deploy and execute nine doctrinal missions: unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, direct action, counter-insurgency, special reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, information operations, counterproliferation of weapon of mass destruction, and security force assistance.

The 3rd SFG(A) was primarily responsible for operations within the AFRICOM area of responsibility, as part of the Special Operations Command, Africa (SOCAFRICA). Its primary area of operations is now Africa as part of a 2015 SOCOM directive, but 3rd Group has also been involved in the Caribbean and the Greater Middle East, and Afghanistan.

They asked us to build a unique custom challenge coin that is shaped like a kettlebell and can be used as a bottle opener. They asked us to engrave their insignia and emblem on both sides of the coin, with some inscriptions of their motto around them.

Boom Operator Challenge Coin

Boom Operator Challenge Coin

Boom Operator Challenge Coin

A boom operator is an aircrew member aboard U.S. Air Force tanker aircraft who is responsible for transferring aviation fuel from one military aircraft to another during flight, a method also known as aerial refueling, air refueling, in-flight refueling, air-to-air refueling, or tanking. The name “boom operator” implies that one operates a “boom” or “flying boom”, which is a long, extendable metal arm attached to the rear underside of the tanker that connects to the fuel receptacle of a receiving aircraft.

In the USAF the position of “Boom Operator” is a position held by an enlisted aviator, (rank Airman Basic through Chief Master Sergeant) who is responsible for safely and effectively refueling other aircraft while in flight. The official Air Force title for boom operators is “In-Flight Refueling Technician”.

This shiny custom challenge coin was ordered by the Boom Operators of the US Air Force. They asked us to produce a challenge coin that is shaped like a shield or a badge, and the sides have the graphic images of the US flag and the California Republic flag, with the inscriptions of “Book Operator” and “NKAWTG” which is the abbreviation of “Nobody kicks ass without tanker gas”, the motto of the boom operators.
